I am delighted to report the results of the ratification vote. The members have decided to accept the Arnot Ogden Hospital offer by a margin of 88%. I want to thank everyone on the bargaining committee who spent many hours working to achieve this contract. I also want to thank our CWA District 1 representative, Debbie Hayes, for her outstanding job at the bargaining table.
It is my hope to also resolve some of the remaining non-contractual issues that still exist at Arnot Ogden Hospital. I am confident that by establishing a Labor Management Committee we will be able to continue to work with the hospital to address these issues. A special thanks to our Federal Mediator, Commissioner Edward Garrow for all of his efforts at the bargaining table and in attending our ratification meetings. I must say that the unity and strength of our members will only increase, if we continue to show solidarity in the work place. I hope many of you will continue to take an active role in your Union.
