Exempt Day Win 

Attached is the Arbitration decision regarding Verizon charging full exempt days for a partial day of absence.  

Arbitrator Sands sustained the exempt day grievance under the Local 1105 Commercial Bargaining Unit Contract.  Specifically, he held that exempt days going forward can only apply to partial day absences for which a step is involved. Since Verizon would not agree to consolidate the other cases regarding this matter we will reach out to Verizon to find out how they plan to treat all the other Bargaining Units.   Please see the attached decision.
