The historic unfair labor practice strike at AT&T Southeast is ending. With the support of allies and community members,20,000 CWA members stood strong and showed AT&T that they would not back down until the company bargained in good faith.
CWA Press Release Wednesday, August 28, 2019 ATLANTA, GA. Early this morning negotiators for the Communications Workers of America announced that they are ending their unfair labor practice strike against the company. CWA members will return to work at 1 p.m. EDT today.
“CWA members’ spirit and solidarity over the last four days showed the company that we would not back down until they bargained with us in good faith,” said CWA District 3 Vice President Richard Honeycutt. “This was a historic strike that showed the power that working people have when they join together.”
